Education equality is important to every single one of us on this team. Most of us are or were first-generation, low-income (FLI) students. I grew up in Oakland, CA to immigrant parents who not only knew very little about college but also spoke little English. I wished I had had relatives or close friends who could have showed me what college was like, so when I became a college student, I made sure to be that figure for my younger siblings and friends. I started vlogging to show them daily Princeton activities. CollegeSnaps allows more college students to expose more high school students, especially those in the FLI community, to what college is about.
